Profi.ly Launches to Consolidate Online Identities

Wednesday, February 25th, 2009

Profi.ly is announcing its’ public launch this evening.  Profi.ly is a free utility to consolidate your online social identities and help facilitate an easier connection process.  Friends can now connect with you on all your social networks using a single user name!

Users link their various social networks to the service (we never ask for password information!) and then provide that user name and the short profi.ly URL (web address) to acquaintances which drives the connection.  Profi.ly makes distributing your profile location simple!  Its’ small size makes it perfect for email signatures, blog sidebars and even online profile pages.

Profi.ly creates a profile directory of social networks each user has linked to the service.   This directory is accessible by appending your registered user name to ‘http://profi.ly/’ and is a great way to let people choose the networks on which to connect.

Profi.ly is ideal for people looking to manage their personal brand throughout the world wide web.  You can now distribute a single user name which makes determining which networks on to connect on a breeze.

Profi.ly was founded by Nathan Jones after growing increasingly frustrated with the number of different profile formats on the social networks.  Additional information is available at http://profi.ly/about/ and http://profi.ly/faq/.  Any questions can be sent to press [at] profi [dot] ly or submitted via the contact form.
